A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Rules

  1. All posts must be showerthoughts
  2. The entire showerthought must be in the title
  3. Avoid politics (NEW RULE as of 5 Nov 2024, trying it out)
  4. Posts must be original/unique

Thank you for explaining what you're doing. But we were well aware of it.

"I know you are but what am I?"

Highest level of discourse.

You're the one coming in here and asking why anyone cares who wins an election that's not even in your country.

You can rightly fuck off. Most of us care very deeply who wins.

Not surprised you and the other people downplaying the election are from .ml

It is in my country lol. Just because I don't get to meaningfully vote in it doesn't mean I don't live here.

Tell you what, if Illinois goes red this election, DM me and I'll send you $200.

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Ok cool. And if random thing does random result you'll owe me $200, too.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml -2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

No.

By the way, quick question, would you say that you don't like me based on who I'm voting for in the presidential election, regardless of how I vote down ballot? Because it kinda seems like you're proving my point here.

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's exactly what everyone has thought about your opinions.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml -2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm rubber, you're glue, what you say bounces off me and sticks to you.

If that's the level of discourse you operate at, I can join you there, I guess.

If you weren't such a transparent .ml troll maybe someone would engage you. But we all know who you are, especially from your comments here today.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml -2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Throwing around a bunch of playground insults and then accusing me of being the troll is a good bit, 7/10.

Good talk, very high level and productive. You've really given me a lot to think about.

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Considering you're a .ml troll, I doubt you spent that long on the whole "think about" part.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Do me a favor and tell the middle school kid who's giving you all your quips that if he keeps trying, he'll get there eventually.

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I actually like that one, good job.
Doesn't change anything about you being a .ml troll, though. You're not fooling anyone.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml -2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Trolling is when someone disagrees with you for any reason.

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Or an entire instance always has the same bad takes and defends it no matter what in posts they shouldn't be in.

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml -2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's very true, but none of the people who have replied to me are from .world so I don't see how that's relevant.

Are you telling me that you consider "no u" to be too low of a form of discourse for you? You were all about it earlier, what happened?

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Your an idiot. I'm done talking to you. Better luck with your future troll attempts.
