I would hope downvotes are accidental. This is fascinating and applicable to rl concerns, normal and divergent, I would think. Yes ofc there are cultural and economic exceptions.
Naah the peeps here are just toxic af. They just want to sit all day crying about American politics. Ignore the downvotes. Focus on the productive posts/comments.
I try not to contribute to toxicity, but it happens. You're right to focus on nicer posts. There's a fine line between calling out toxicity and becoming toxic.
