Because nobody wants the Electric vehicles they make.
It's not nobody; they're actually selling a lot. It's that they're building large expensive pickup trucks, rather than trying for smaller cheaper vehicles that appeal to a big chunk of the population
... and removing options from those versus the ICE versions. In my case, removing the front-row middle seat option from the F-150 Lightning took that sonofabitch off my preferred next-vehicle list. Can't fit my whole family? Don't want it.
Mock me for having a large family that restricts my choice in vehicles, but consider: I could just buy what I want and cart them everywhere with two+ vehicles like our neighbors and extended family do with their large broods.
There is no up-shot to removing passenger capacity from a vehicle. Not when so many EV's have a got-damn Frunk.
I don't see it personally. That doesn't mean I don't agree with you, because I do, but people buying expensive trucks don't have interest from what I've seen. They either buy that expensive gas truck, or buy Rivian, that's just from me seeing buying and selling cars for work.
There are pretty intense local brand preferences. Nationally Ford has been selling more
I still don't see it personally. Like I literally mean I agree with you but I just don't see people (Nationwide) in my industry buying them and not so much, it doesn't happen, or it's not possible.
I don't doubt you that it's not happening in your circle. It's pretty definitely happening though:
Rivian isn't selling as many:
Now...Ford doesn't appear to be trying to scale up and Rivian is, so I expect this to change in the future. But it's definitely a lot that are selling.
Yes, that's why I agreed with you.
