It does seem like a really bad plan to send your uncharismatic second string candidate around to follow the opposing presidential candidate. All it's doing is just giving an unflattering comparison for their excitement and crowd sizes.

It’s going to get worse as well!

Very few people like to be associated with weird losers and the crowds will dwindle quite quickly.
