The simplistic theory of capitalism says that capitalism is supposed to give us the best prices right? But Americans pay 2x per capita what Canadians pay for health care and 3x per capita what the British pay for the same health care. Actually we even have slightly worse health statistics and outcomes than they do. Which means that in the health care industry capitalism completely sucks at doing its basic job. It is totally unsuited to the health care industry and is really just a profiteering racket that sucks up our money. So why the f*ck would we want to keep using the old grossly inefficient system when there is a way better solution called "medicare for all".
