Beehaw's community for socialists, communists, anarchists, and non-authoritarian leftists (this means anti-capitalists) of all stripes. A place for all leftist and labor news and discussion, as long as you're nice about it.

Non-socialists are welcome to come to learn, though it's hard to get to in-depth discussions if the community is constantly fighting over the basics. We ask that non-socialists please be respectful and try not to turn this into a "left vs right" debate forum by asking leading questions or by trying to draw others into a fight.

Ah yes, the old "democrats can't win unless they're republicans too" strategy that I wish would become immediate cause for shun and ridicule. The people who want to vote for a Republican are going to vote for the Republican, even if the Democrat has the exact same policies. Stop trying to court republicans as a democrat, and start worrying about mobilizing enough of your base and energizing moderates with some real policies that will actually make things better.

Perhaps they're not trying to get the Democrats to court Republicans. Perhaps they are corporate mouth pieces trying to get better corporate conditions from a potential Harris government.

I mean, yeah, that's part and parcel to that messaging.
