That looks good! The quality of the image really lets me see all those close details, really nice!
I'm not really familiar with painting, is this oil paint?
Thank you so much! This is actually all done in acrylic! I used drybrushing, as well as abstract expressionist painting styles (smattering it with my brush, drawing palette knives across the canvas, ect) to get the texture to what it is in the final product. What you're probably noticing, is the 9~12 layers of paint that I used to construct all of the elements of the painting, giving it a type of depth that is usually associated with oil paint.
I definitely got the oil paint vibe from it as well, impressive stuff. Did you have a specific region in mind when you were painting? Makes me think of Kenya or something.

Ah, that makes sense too. If you drop yourself in the southwest of Kenya in google streetview you might start to get an idea of what I was thinking.
