I know I've heard it elsewhere, but I've forgotten the composer and title.

Edit: Anvil Chorus from Il Trovatore by Verdi.

One of the most played works of music, but the author Remo Giazotto insists that he merely arranged it based on a yet undiscovered fragment of Albinonis. Someone knows more about this? It's kind of fascinating that someone who could very likely take credit for a insanely successful piece of music, doesn't. Did this supposed fragment of an Albinoni bass line turn up at some point?

Hi everyone! I thought I’d introduce myself and start the conversation here. I’ve just made the migration from Reddit. I know things are on the small side right now but I hope that in time all our niche interests will find a home here. I play recorder, mostly Baroque. I’ve always loved electronics though so right now I’m looking into combining the two by using a loop station and/or sequencer. I’m also thinking of purchasing an electric recorder this summer, the Elody. What do you play and what are your goals for this year?

This is a place for dicussion of classical music, sharing your own compositions, feedback, news from the classical world, instrumentalists, and everything in between. Until the community gets bigger, I'm imagining this space to be a "catch all" for everything classical music related.
