I've been trying this app out to try to identify a specific bird call by my house. I've found out to be pretty helpful.

These little guys are always on the move, so it's really hard to get a shot of the fully flared tail.

Bonus close up

I saw a number of these beautiful corvids during a recent road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. This particular individual allowed me to get quite close, which was much appreciated as I was shooting with a 24-70mm. I did notice that just about every Raven I saw was being constantly bothered by smaller birds. You can see two such antagonists here along the fence.

Oddly timed shot, looks like it's posing.

The gulls were fun to watch along the coast during a trip up into the Redwoods of Northern California.
