Everyone as in the leadership. Thought it would be obvious.

They won't. It's easier to blame someone else. In EU, even in shittier countries it is fairy normal for leadership to resign when they lose elections, especially so convincingly. And losing elections to fucking Trump should be a sign for everyone to fucking resign. But nope, they think they are irreplaceable.

While I am absolutely aware that "voting for lesser of two evils" is a necessity, I do understand people who just couldn't get bothered.

It is appaling that what Democrats think is "left" is very much right in Europe. There is no left in USA, people with empathy have noone to vote for.

You can only vote for billionaires.

While I would always vote for Harris, if I was in the USA I would also be amazed at how scared Democrats are to say no to their sponsors.

These are not elections. These are popularity contests and reality shows...

Holy fuck, haha.

You are literally defining conservatives everywhere. Do you not fucking get it?

[–] tortina_original@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

One thing I have noticed is that conservatives everywhere absolutely want to tell everyone else what to do, while crying like little snowflakes about 'wokeism' (and none of them can answer what it is).

Projection and all that.

Maybe something would change under Harris. Maybe not.

But it is absolutely certain that it won't change under Trump.

I am old enough and have gone through so many "vote for lesser of two evils" elections to be able to tell you that not voting for lesser of two evils is wrong. I myself skipped voting few times because I hated both sides. But absolutely every fucking time the worse person winning was a much, much worse outcome.

Everyone's main enemy are billionaires. They have spent considerable resources making sure people vote for Trump.

And here we are, people whining how Harris didn't make a promise to go after billionaires while at the same time enabling those same billionaires to do as they please, through Trump.

200 IQ move, indeed.

Well, you will find out what difference it makes.

[–] tortina_original@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Fair enough.

But what is it they heard from Trump, then? I can not understand Americans. They vote for a felon who can not make a coherent sentence. What kind of change they expect, exactly?

I mean, what kind of change a black person who voted from Trump expects, for example? I truly can not comprehend.

Peter Thiel is delighted.

Humans are so fucking stupid...

When i left my ex-communist country for greener pastures, many years ago, one of the biggest shocks was learning about "lobbying".

What we backward peasants from communism considered plain corruption, was perfectly legal and normal in the USA. Less so in Western Europe, though. Not only normal but seems to be one of core means of getting into power (and holding onto it), whether it is business or politics. Mind you, I never lived in the USA but based on everything I see/hear that is absolutely the case.

I am still flabbergasted by it...

Felons can't vote in the USA?

How can a felon be a presidential candidate but another felon can not vote for him?

I truly do not understand USA.
