Powerful people committing horrific human-rights violations just to satisfy their own ego?

Damn, that's never happened in the history of anything. /s

This reminds me of a year or so ago when conservatives kept claiming "Trans sexual assaults in bathrooms were up" and it turned out that Trans people were the victims and not the perpetrators.

This is truly the most evil way of framing a headline. To make the victim the perpetrator and the perpetrator the victim.

There is this classic:

"I am the righteous hand of god, and I am the devil that you forgot." - Poor Man's Poison

The history channel's take, as well as others, that ancient civilizations could not have accomplished what they accomplished on their own, and therefore it's aliens is peak Right-wing cope.

"Obviously those backwards non-white civilizations couldn't have accomplished this on their own, because of their skin color. So therefore, the obvious solution is that they accomplished it because a hyper-intelligent space-fairing civilization took notice of their existence and arbitrarily decided to help them. This makes much more sense." - Thought process of the utterly deranged.

Genuinely the only reason this smooth brain take is so popular is because its been echoed in media as an admittedly fun story-telling mechanism. But that's all it is, a story. To put this on the history channel and claim it's history is just one of the reasons why the History Channel has had their reputation sink in the past 20 years.

Normal World: Children become autonomous early on in their development and are able to travel relatively short-to-medium distances without the need of a chaperone.

American World: Children are forbidden from venturing 2 feet into the outside world without a pair of 21 Year-old eyes oogling them at all times. Travel of children autonomously under the age of 16 is forbidden. Any concerns about a child's development are swiftly hand waved away because the mystical child-stealing candy van might drive on by and snatch your obviously stupid and oblivious child. Anyway, don't forget to go to church!

Just don't vote for Biden! When he loses, he'll see the error of his ways in supporting a genocide. Then next electio- oh... oh...

This screenshot is from my single-player survival world that happened to spawn me on an island. The island is actually quite far away from other land masses, and made for a really fun world.

This is an earlier map of my world, prior to when I had expanded further south and added the lighthouse seen in the screenshot.
