I garuntee you there was. Maybe not on Twitter, but there was. Its odd to me that you would doubt that.

I'm not an employer but ok.

I own a paperback copy and I can't think of a reason a hardcover would be better aside from durability.

Well, maybe you should go fix those problems. You know, instead of whining that you have to look at your phone occasionally when you already spend your precious time arguing with me on Lemmy.

I think there is a difference between being on call and being expected to text your boss sometimes. You could literally just check your phone once a day at the same time and it would be fine. Maybe they should throw you a dime for that few seconds of grueling labor, but I don't really give a shit.

Honestly there are a lot of CEOs that could get away with that.

Because people receiving the death penalty theoretically did something wrong, and fetuses did not. I'm neither against abortion nor pro death penalty, and I don't really see a contradiction there.

I did more research and I found out it actually isn't standard where I live now, I am misremembering probably because I haven't had many interactions with police here. This is a somewhat standard practice in major cities though which would explain why I was familiar with it. I will admit copaganda probably reinforced that though, most media I've seen does depict 2 officers. But whatever, I'm always happy to learn a new reason to hate cops.

No, I am thinking of what I have seen in real life. In my area there is almost always 2 cops per vehicle. I was unaware this was not standard.

A lot of the posts here are just pointing out how illogical religion is, which I don't mind. I'm religious myself, but I'm well aware how ridiculous it is. What does bother me is the arguments against Christianity that are used as arguments against all religions. Most of you were likely raised christian, so I understand why you focus on it, but most religions don't have all of the problems Christianity does. I think a lot of the posts here would fit better in an ex-christian community.
