@ValueSubtracted
I rewatched VOY "Jetrel" some days ago by coincidence and see some parallels (and - of course - differences) on the meta level.

M'Benga and Neelix both in trouble with their conscience (for opposite reasons) - Rah/Jetrel both ignoring the borders of M'Benga/Neelix, behaving selfless but having selfish reasons.
Wellmeaning Starfleet personnel that was not involved in the war pushing M'Benga/Neelix.

@apps is it possible to subscribe to the timelin of a #Lemmy account (like @startrek with a lot of postings per day) using #Fedilab without having those postings flooding my personal timeline?

I'm worried to flood my personal timeline and on the other hand it is possible to put an instances timeline on a list without directly following it.

Sounds like Troi's telepathic abilities always being mysteriously blocked when the story demands it.

She didn't get her own episode but at least a cool hat.😉

IMHO the time travel is more the background for the La'an and Kirk episode.
They rush so through it that it doesn't seem to me the A plot.

A nice La'an episode.

@Jon-H558

Not being citizens of the Federation does not allow Federation citizens to harass the Illyrians nor to threaten them.

And since the Federation and also the Star Fleet have an ideal of tolerance, IMHO it was a wise decision to ban augmentation (against the background of the Eugenic Wars) but to judge wisely if a single person really is a threat or not.

@dan
TBH it's the Galaxy Quest community trying to parody the Star Trek community

"A Quality of Mercy" (SNW S01E10)

IMHO a clever reference to the TOS episode (without messing with the canon) and not the usual "we have to prevent this to save the future" plot.
