Ikr. Tho usually I would opt for Grim Glaive, Swift Plate, Furor, Arcana +19, and Lethal Momentum.

Been on a RoW run at F11 to simultaneously farm Wands. At some point the RNG God just blessed me with consecutive Grim weapon drops and some more Grim prize from Enchant Stone.

Try to use explosives (bomb, trap, stone) to determine whether an equipment have any upgrade (it'll survive explosion if it does). If you got a remove curse ready you should find at least +1 mail quite often.

Most of the time I use smith's reward on late game armor. So I think as a warden (with barkskin) it's just at the right time considering a +1 mail are enough for cave yet I personally need late game armor for the city.

If that's how it meant then it can't be helped. But if that's the case, can you please bring back the smith's comment if you were to select cursed and/or unidentified equipment. I noticed it was gone when the new reward system come up.

I once posted about "Multiplied Equipment from Smith's Reforge" (https://lemmy.world/post/9169425), which have been patched in the latest update and I'm fine with that (tho maxing RoW in a farming run become so much harder now). What's unfortunate IMO is that now cursed (but identified) equipment also can't be selected for an Upgrade reward from Smith. I always consider Smith's Upgrade reward as another SoU, and you can apply SoU to a cursed equipment with some chance to remove the curse. So is it possible to revert some of the patch to let player still select cursed equipment for Smith's Upgrade reward?

PS. Far from the best in Engrish, hope this post is understandable and not offensive.

Cant agree more, but I've had too much RoW farming lately, so I kinda end this one rather prematurely. Usually I will gunning for Grim Bow AND grim melee.

I got the Lethal Momentum skill, so I prefer the accuracy boost of the hammer

...Until an anti-magic skeleton gets in my way. Otherwise, that thorns + arcana combo can inflicts 200+ bleeding damage which insta-kill most mobs.

Gotcha, thank you!

"when you hit an enemy"

Sorry, seems like my bad english strike back. To make it clear, I did not mean the blocking enchantment but weapons with blocking capability. If that is what you already catch from my post then thank you for the info, but if it isnt I hope this make it clear.

"The damage is reduced by armor and most damage reduction effects like herbal armor and rock armor, but not by glyphs."

So, will blocking weapons (Rapier, Q Staff, Shield, Katana, G Shield) help reduce the pricking damage received from upgrading the chalice?

Edit : Sorry, seems like my bad english strike back. To make it clear, I did not mean the blocking enchantment but weapons with blocking capability (as listed in previous paragraph).

I believe this was on a RoW farming run, sooooo 😁

Just realized that the title could be misleading bcos it's not really multiplied per se, it's just that you only need 1 other similar equipment to do two reforging AND you get to keep the lower level one. Sorry, english are not my first language, cant think of better wording.

For this to works, one of the similar equipment must be LOWER in level. Haven't tested for thrown/wands and for items with same level. So if one of LOWER leveled equipment are CURSED and EQUIPPED (can't be unequipped), for some reason it will not be destroyed by reforging process.

First case I encountered was with Displace Plate +2 (equipped) and Anti-Magic Plate +3. Reforging result was Anti-Magic Plate +4 but somehow the cursed Plate +2 were still intact and equipped. Then I tried again with Curse Infused RoW +0 (equipped) and RoW +9. I was able to get RoW +11 by reforging twice using the same cursed RoW + 0, and it was still intact after the second reforge! Proof for the second case below via imgur.

In my recent "Ultimate RoW" run, the reason why I ended up with so many excess +12 equipment was because I want to get grim on bow. After maybe 100+ stones later and I ended up settling with vampiric.

What I observed was the enchant keep looping around several enchantment and not totally "random", not really in fixed order so I guess that is the random element. So if grim are not in that particular loop then I will never be able to get grim from stone enchant.

Is this observation true? If yes, then how I change or break out to another different loop?

Imp gave +4 NOT RoW, later transmuted to RoW. Thanks to new blacksmith reward, reforging the RoWs twice can net me single +21 RoW which made farming +12 equipment possible without Rogue's ring talent.

Yes, that was all +12

There was RoMight +2 and a Trans Scroll in sewer, so I got RoHaste +2 instead. A chill sai +1 and runic +1 in prison and battle axe +2 near blacksmith. There are 2 plate by the time I got to F19, one of em are +2 from grave. There are also one more +2 ring which I trans'ed again to arcana then I reforged with another arcana I found. Elastic glaive +1 from statue in city (upgraded with blacksmith) and Kinetic GShield +2 from altar in demon hall.

Somehow, when you threw a pot to yourself, it did not immediately doused the flame periods. To me it seemed to douse the flame on character, but not on the tile itself, causing the grass from talent's effect to burn and ended up burning you again. Would be nice if the talents only limit to drinking the pots, not throwing. Someone have also complained that the new talents made the flame pots more lethal, but unnecessarily so especially when breaking barricade as you might ended caught up in the flames. Sure you can just use other means, but that might not always be available.
