Indeed, I suspect most people who identify as Marxist would not identify as Democrat.
Ya, pretty much. I'm excited they will listen to me, someone they know as a left person, but it's a huge obstacle to overcome. But, I'm willing to do it because what other option do we have? Or do I have, as a regular person? Beyond, you know, just voting... I feel compelled to change minds. It's hard.
Side note, I was born in Powell, Ohio. Don't know much about it, that's what it says on my birth certificate. It's been weird here in NE Nevada, also. Above freezing at night 😬
I am noticing a slow increase in conservative folks and their ability to accept climate change, and even to change themselves, bit I live in a very remote area where they depend on water and such from the land. They will still vote for Trump, tho. I can at least have a conversation with them, but it takes SO MUCH TIME to really win people over, and we don't have that time. Most of these people, i think it will be another five years before I get then on my side. At least they listen, I guess?
This is kind of frustrating, my mom has used one since about 2000, I don't remember that one being loud but it made noise. How loud could they be? Maybe I shouldn't complain as a non user.
Gosh, my mom has used one of these for roughly 25 years. There weren't options then, but I wonder what she uses now. I'll have to ask. Dad has one now, also.
From what I have read, it depends on who you ask. Like you say, it is so complicated and we could benefit from some local voices. I think? Maybe hard to say.
I've only met one Russian immigrant who felt comfortable talking about Russian people, and they definitely said something like this, among other things.
Ya, the images showing her eye definitely don't show the cap being as prominent. But that eye, specialists might be curious. I am most certainly not a specialist 🙂 essentially, it was folks like you that caught on to that with finches in thr first place! I'll stop bugging you about it haha
their real history is one of slavery and subjugation under the Mongols
And this shouldn't even be a big deal. What group of people haven't been subjugated at some point in their history? Collectively, I suspect that nearly all peoples have been. Certainly it is a bigger conversation with modern, more recent slavery, involving forced migration, but it doesn't change what happened either. The US and some European countries face this topic (as the subjugators) and are talking about it with varying degrees of honesty.
Why hide from it?
Any chance you can share these pics with a local wildlife center? This bird has a lot going on, we're all curious haha
I agree. It's the one thing I have power over, tho. I'm not sure what the end goal is, perhaps more folks will understand why they were wrong when their house burns down or washes away. Probably a fruitless task 😐
