Sorry if I'm being unintentionally obtuse, this is a genuine question, what's not normalized about it? I can't remember the last time I had a conversation about my faith or lack thereof. Could just be my location and circles I hang out with, but I don't know many people, especially my age or younger, who really care one way or another.

Would probably flow more naturally and avoid unwanted conversation if you used "on earth" or something else universally experienced instead of "in athieism" which leads to the same problem you were complaining about but from a different group.

I eat fast food only when I use coupons to pay $6 or less for a meal. (Was getting one from McDonalds for $3.50 but they removed the coupon I used smh).

Also completely fair, I'll shake hands with you on that.

The government allowed lies to be told on TV and on the internet under the guise of news. There were no real consequences to those who had listeners and repeated foreign government talking points for money. We have not seen any real investigation on how much interference was ran on social media.

Nearly every human being believes that they are a good person making rational decisions, so its important to examine the environment around these people to where they can believe they made the right choice when it comes to electing Trump and sadly, it seems our mostly unregulated free speech that let it happen, because the republican party is more organized and effective in communicating their platform and slandering their opponents than democrats are, and they motivated more people to vote than the democrats could as a result. Anger and hate are strong emotions and motivators, and unfortunately the republicans keep on using them and it keeps on working.

I have no idea what you're blaming Lemmy on, if anything I'd expect the userbase here to be more active and left-leaning voters than average. People have a good reason to be frustrated, and I think pointing that frustration at the only alternative option we had for a political party failing election after election to learn how to communicate and how to deliver on what the people really want is a reasonable take.

I feel like this game suffered from releasing in an unpolished state. Its competition is Smash bros, which is incredibly polished but has bad networking. Even with smash's issues though, it felt way better to play than this did. They could have fixed all the issues, but the first taste I had of the game was negative, and I just don't feel like it's worth my time to go back.

With so many games coming out, I feel like the first impression is more important than ever, but more and more games are instead releasing in a poor state with the idea of fixing it later if it makes money.

I love this game. Also the title does indeed have the doublequotes around it, which no other title does. Last update fixed a lot of things and generally made the game nicer to play.

Those sickos bottle up the food for the sea turtles and now they're gonna starve!

Sure, but if they want to drag each other down I'm all for it

Funny enough, the gacha was my favorite part of 2 since it forced me to work with what I had to make a good team that felt unique to me. I understand why it was unpopular, but I wouldn't mind more single player games using gacha mechanics to make playthroughs feel unique.

Not voting is a choice as well. A choice that will make it so that your voice will not have an impact on whether the candidate that kills more will win, or the candidate that kills less. Choosing to abstain is an announcement that you don't care about those whose lives are being threatened, the opposite of what you seem to think it is.

If you go into your match history or any counterstrike community you will see lots and lots of banned CS2 players. It seems the latest ban wave has some sort of mistake and lots of innocent players are involved. I am personally not banned but a few of my friends who were definitely not cheating were banned.

It also seems that playing a game right now has decent odds of banning you mid-game. There's lots of footage of this happening during mundane gunfights.

With the scale of this, there's no way they don't reverse most, if not all, bans in this wave. There's simply no way that this many players were actually cheating.

Just putting something here in case someone who avoids other social media wants to know what's going on.
