Similar in Germany. The "we are done playing, ignore this and go to jail" mail will be sent in a special yellow envelope most of the time.

I'm in my mid thirties in Germany and literally never got or sent a single check.
I think that was what felisneurologists call "not his moment with the brain cell".
Primitive Technology, the channel that inspired all those faked terrible "building stuff in the woods" channels, but the original is really good.
I always find it fascinating how specific those theories become. Want to believe that our universe is just some sort of quark in a bigger universe we can't know anything about? Fine. Doesn't make terribly much sense, but what does at that scale anyway? But then going on and being sure that that bigger thing must be Plutonium? Why? How?
I always find the faster than light opera neutrinos a good example how actual serious scientists handle an experiment that break well established and proven basic laws of physics. Hint: They did it very differently than the people in the article.
Why don't they make more masterpieces for which so stars happened to align by skill, chance and good fortune?

That is just plain wrong. People that switch over to cycling and are successful within a few years are athletes from other disciplines. You can not build up the necessary cardio to be an olympic level cyclist in just a few years.
It depends. Some people just can't deal with them and always get nauseous.
