And that's besides the point anyways. Me not murdering humans also doesn't stop them from getting murdered worldwide, but that doesn't mean I can just walk around and kill people, the same way you have no justification to torture and murder non-human animals, just because they will keep getting killed by others.
I know you probably don't wanna hear it, but just use one of the Bing wrappers like DuckDuckGo. There is no reason to use Bing in 2023 anyways.

How does that work? I know that it's an option on Mastodon, but from what I understand, this is yet to be implemented into Lemmy.

Telegram's backend is proprietary software and they (very similarly to Discord for example) can just decide to read your chats whenever they want. It's even worse then WhatsApp in this sense (at least as long as you trust Facebook that they actually encrypt your chats, again, there is no way to know if it's proprietary software).
