i hope so too :)
As far as I know, they struggle with available hardware resources right now – althrough I am not sure if thats still the case... .
Edit: if I am watching the (known federation) problem correctly, it could also be "bad" not to regularely restart the instance – if thats true... well... maybe I should restart the thing too so others read us 😅
it appears that it was a mix of two issues... one was a problem introduced by a change on the webserver that i didn't expect to be related, then lemmy threw a 400 until it was restarted (so this is likely related to the federation issue). well then... at least this part is somewhat fixed.
developers are aware. i didn't report this yet because i wasn't sure if this wasn an issue on our end, but looks like thats not the case: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4288
all users were logged out, on some apps you might have to clear the cache or reinstall as they got confused
it appears that federation stops after a few hours after each restart of the lemmy server. i could not spot any helpful logs yet, sadly, but i am working on it.
this... seems to be an unrelated issue but nevertheless, also quite mysterious :/
i was unable to reproduce this issue...
i can help you reset it, pls email me
thats what i meant – is there an alternative option?
didnt they just replace the terminal app? o.O
