@stopthatgirl7 @n3cr0 ok, so it's even cooler then -- we are having a conversation across three different platforms: me on mastodon, you on kbin and @n3cr0 on lemmy. Welcome to the #Fediverse!!

@GeekFTW @matt@pixelfed.teachmaths.org I'm also running an older pixelfed release -- I should probably update it, but it's also possible the newest release may introduce compatibility problems with kbin and/or lemmy

@matt@pixelfed.teachmaths.org @GeekFTW hmm... pixelfed doesn't seem to be pushing the updates out, or if it does, there is a long delay. I had to get kbin to pull those couple of comments from my pixelfed instance. I don't use pixelfed very much, there could also be something broken in my setup.

@stopthatgirl7 @n3cr0 I quite like kbin -- it is sort of the "swiss army knife" of the fediverse...

@n3cr0 Here is my mastodon profile on your lemmy instance:

You should be able to follow it, message it, etc. (although no guarantees as to quality content 😉 )

@n3cr0 @stopthatgirl7 ok, I just got a notification that @stopthatgirl7 favourited my post -- I guess you did that my "upvoting" the comment that appeared on Lemmy. This is how mastodon nd lemmy users can interact with each other.

@n3cr0 @stopthatgirl7 So, this comment is a post from my Mastodon instance. Can you see it? If you reply, then you will have interacted with it.

@locness3 you mention the name of the community, eg.
@ asklemmy @ discuss.tchncs.de

(obviously without the spaces 🙂 )

@cyberic there's actually another #edtech group on #lemmy.world that seems to have some interesting posts:

@edtech

But you are right, in general, the level of activity on lemmy seems quite low. It will be interesting to see if it picks up as better clients become available.

With all the upheaval at #reddit I've been looking for #teacher-related groups in the #lemmy / #kbin #fediverse. Two I've found are :
@teaching
and
@australian_teachers

Have you found any others?

@edutooters #australia #teaching
