many things freely and legally available are harmful, I'd rather we all make our own choices and offer rehab and other aid for people that need it or want it.

People are losing confidence in the systems of law, order, and justice. The social contract is being broken by the ruling elite. When people lose confidence in these things and see no avenue for justice, they turn to extreme measures.

Killing someone is always a terrible and avoidable outcome, but there are cases where we consider it just: defense of yourself or others, to prevent greater harm, etc.

People are seeing great injustices and great dangers and they have no confidence in the systems that are supposed to address those things. Naturally, they're behaving accordingly.

The social contract requires good faith and consent and can't just be taken for granted.

every large organization is inefficient, anyone who has worked at a huge company knows this. This is just another capitalist myth that happens to keep economic control in private hands where the wealthy get more votes than the poor, as opposed to public hands where (in theory) votes are equal.

Hey if enough Americans are motivated he may not have to serve the full sentence. If this were the start of something bigger he could easily get out sooner.

If everyone goes back to complacency though you're definitely right.

Trigger happy mods should know that I'm advocating for political and cultural change but not specifying that it must be through violence.

Organized labor can also take some non violent action like general strikes. The important thing is the organization part, once you're organized you've got power whether it's violent or not.

A smaller less organized population can definitely use violence effectively, but it still takes critical mass to affect permanent change.

Join or create community groups and labour unions

why are there so many delusional Democrats?

It's ok to admit both parties suck. Yes to different degrees, but you don't have to gaslight yourself into thinking Democrats care about you

Valid points and I fully acknowledge my oversimplification. I just wanted to express that some of these alternate paths might be more fruitful and easier to solve than just having an apartheid society.

Nah fewer bad people in the world is better medicine

I'm referring to people talking about the trolley problem, defense, war, etc.

When it comes to killing the CEO I'm not gonna argue it because your position is valid.

I agree it's "wrong" but I won't hide my smile, I wouldn't be sad about some other similar incidents either.

When there is no justice, there can be no peace.
