Except they didn't get what they claim to have wanted, they got a result that is much worse for Palestinians.

Do not call a congressperson that isn’t your own. They are not required to listen to you, you are not their constituent.

Unless they happen to be chairing a committee that you have an opinion on.

Then it's fair game.

But there would be a metric shitton of legal proceeding and resulting settlements for years.

I stand by my statement that breaking shit is faster and easier and takes less thought than fixing or rebuilding it.

Yes it can be rebuilt through those means you mentioned, but the intervening generation will be fucked over pretty hard.

I'm hoping the Incompetence that he is bringing (not to mention the infighting and backstabbing) can blunt some of the damage that he's promising to do.

It's the exact same components I would have bought at a local store if there were any.

The last one closed almost 20 years ago. (Long before Temu, aliexpress and banggood)

VIA operates on CN tracks in the west, but that doesn't negate the overall correctness of your statement.

They're always late because they don't own the infrastructure and have to take a back seat to their "landlord's " schedule.

According to them no one can get anything accomplished in 2 years

The difference is that it's a lot easier and faster to break things than it is to build or repair them.

The families didn't pay for this, The Onion did.

The families support was mostly not financial in this .

And woe if someone dies, gets sick, or retires

Out of over 200 people, all of those are statistically likely over a 4 year period.

And they're gonna get it good and hard...

Assuming he doesn't change the rules and appoint himself president forever, then the limit is 2 terms, consecutive or not.

Even if a person started their presidential mandate partway through a 4 year cycle (as happened after Nixon stepped down and after Kennedy was shot), it's still 2 terms, not necessarily 8 years.

If Trump dies in the next 4 years, Vance could serve out the current term and would only be eligible to become president for one additional term.

Gee, arrogant violent criminals want a get out of jail free card?

What a shocking and unprecedented turn of events.

If we can keep PP to a minority we can still limit the damage he can cause.

The trend isn't confined to the Bow Valley or even to Alberta. The federal government has temporarily eased limits on how many temporary foreign workers a business can hire in low-wage positions, and employers across Canada have increasingly made use of the program.
