My recommendation for everyone is to use Fastmail and a custom domain.
Fastmail is extremely reliable, and since they charge money they also offer customer support. A few years ago I lost a lot of emails due to a client bug, and Fastmail support was very helpful recovering them from backup.
Use a custom domain so you can change providers in the future so you're not locked into your provider and can change if you aren't happy with them anymore.
they do not want intervention or care
I'm don't think you can say that in general. They might not want the intervention and care they are offered, which usually comes with strings attached. Eg. homeless shelters in my city require you to arrive at a specific time, leave at a specific time, and you can't bring alcohol. Plenty of non-homeless people would be kicked out of their home if they had to stick to those rules.
The sad thing is that even if you don't give a shit about other people, it would still be beneficial to make sure everyone is taken care of.
Imagine if we didn't have to worry about people stealing our bikes or breaking into our basement because everyone had enough money to not have to steal stuff.
Or if we didn't have to worry about our kids getting a good enough job because even if they follow their passion their jobs would still pay enough to have a good life.
Courts aren't limited to prosecuting crimes that happen in their jurisdiction. For example, German courts are prosecuting sex crimes committed by tourists in Thailand. So just because there is no court nearby doesn't mean you can do whatever you want.
I'm not sure if it technically counts as electronic music, but I really liked Aphex Twin's Computer Controlled Analogue Instruments.
The effort that went into recording it must have been enormous, and I wish I could have been in the room when the tracks were recorded.
I used to browse twitter occasionally, but almost every tweet now has really low quality troll post underneath them. It feels like Twitter just consists of people who find everything outraging and they complain about everything.
It used to be that there were some interesting back and forths on Twitter, but in the last year or so all I see is outrage and insults.
I think Signal is trying too hard to be secure, and they are missing a lot of convenience features.
For example, you can't migrate from Android to iOS or vice versa. You'll lose all your messages and groups.
Or it's really hard to export all the photos someone sent you. I get that my iCloud library isn't as secure, but I really want to make sure I don't lose those photos if I lose my device. The photos aren't that sensitive.
The security notifications are also well-meaning, but hard to make sense of. You sometimes get notifications for changed security numbers, when people change their phone, sometimes folks show up twice in groups, etc. It's all a bit hard to understand and difficult to use.
And finally, it seems that messages are sometimes delivered a bit unreliably or with a long delay.
