I really like Heaven's Vault, but haven't managed to finish it. The world-building and atmosphere are incredible.

Also on TotK, slightly behind you. Finished the fourth regional quest but haven't reported back to Purah yet.

!Spoiler alert! My plans are to do that, then the Korok forest, followed by the extra tear and the fifth sage (who I had stumbled upon before even finishing my second temple). Then I'll just... dick around for months instead of going to the castle. :D

I highly recommend Hades! It's a top-notch game with excellently balanced combat (and I say this as someone who doesn't really like combat in video games), an awesome story, and outstanding art direction and voice acting. Because of its structure as a roguelite, you're restarting every time you die but getting a little further every time, so it basically trains you up. It really made other combat games much more accessible to me. Plus you can use God Mode to lower the learning curve a bit while still keeping it moderately challenging.

My absolute fave was Theme Park (the Bullfrog game, something like RCT's grandma). Looking back, it was a pretty dark game, at least if you went bankrupt!

A bit later on, I played Sim City (can't quite remember 2000 or 3000), and the Impressions city builders games: Emperor, Zeus, and especially Pharaoh. I adored those, and am now playing the Pharaoh remake.

I still play The Sims 2, btw. There's a small but active community over on Tumblr.

I do love both, but the QoL improvements in TotK just make it much harder to go back to BotW.

I love my Zeus shield with Zeus or Poseidon on special, plus Lighting Reflexes. I just throw the shield and run around.
