This happens to me occasionally already as a paid Fastmail user. I switched from Gmail about a year ago and I can’t change my existing Yahoo account to use Fastmail.

I get it, we deal with fraud and abuse from throwaway emails all day at work, but it is frustrating for sure.

So dumb, they claim they are moving you to a new plan with more features. Here are the “features” of the new plan ONE Plus to Go5g:

*$5 more per line x 5 lines = $25 more each month

*Lose Kickback which I use on 2 lines = $20 more each month

*10GB Hotspot instead of 5GB in Canada/Mexico, something I’ve used once since I’ve been on T-Mobile

*720p HD streaming video, down from my 4K unlimited streaming passes

Fortunately, I was easily able to opt out thanks to the heads up from these posts.

Exactly my case. Got bored quickly and tried coming back a few different times for big updates. Never got past all the tutorials. I had more fun for the few hours I was flying around to other planets when I first got it.

What I don’t get is when the community has like 2,000 members but 0 posts. How is it trending?!?

I turned mine on in the app successfully after the next App Store update, but based on me just seeing this comment now, it doesn’t look like they are working.

It’s tough for me because I love native app experiences but most are so invasive. I won’t be surprised when companies drop websites completely.

The whole Reddit saga had me re-evaluate my social media use.

For Meta I switched just to the mobile sites and noticed that with Messenger, it can’t even be accessed from the browser, and Instagram won’t even let you login unless you turn off private relay. I doubt we’ll ever get a threads website.

Now if I use a native app, it is only ones that collect as little data as possible. I use Dystopia for Reddit occasionally, Ice Cubes for Mastodon, Memmy for Lemmy and Surfboard for Tildes.

Just got the App Store update this morning for version 0.1.1 and it looks like my issues with staying logged in are solved. Appreciate the quick turnaround!

Just a heads up, I get stuck with this little loading wheel until I force quit the app when I try to enable notifications.

Yeah it looks like I needed to sign in again for my subscriptions to appear after force quitting

Looks like you might have figured it out below in your discussion with RustedSwitch! Thanks for the quick response.

Thanks for this post!

I am really enjoying the update so far.

I have been having an issue where when I go to traverse, none of my subreddits are listed, and the subscribed feed is filled with random groups I’m not subscribed to.

Updating the JWT token like you recommend fixes it, but FWIW, I have had to do it more than once since the update.
