Any way to restore pre 125 behaviour in newtab and show fixed number of shortcuts, i.e. show empty shortcuts too?

How can I hide the gray overlay when the page is paused with the dev tools debugger? in c/firefox@fedia.io

Activating the "Pick an element from the page (Ctrl+Shift+C)" tool hides the overlay but only until you pick an element or cancel the pick.

Have you tried disabling both extensions and then re-enabling them Discard first and Close Tabs last?
