He could run again as a placeholders VP, then have the placeholder resign after taking office. This would bypass the can only be "elected" twice rule.

Yes, there is an amendment that requires a VP to meet the same eligibility requirements as the president that should prevent this, but a corrupt court could rule that since that amendment does not explicitly mention term limits, those do not apply...

I'm happy with copilot "looking over my shoulder" so it has the context when I ask for assistance, but I'm not sure I want it modifying the code directly.

Oh, and the worst issue is the hardware support. It requires a newish processor and TPM (or equilivant)

  • the UI may be noticeably slower on some systems
  • it is more difficult to avoid using a Microsoft account
  • the task bar cannot be moved and customization is more limited
  • some right click menu options are hidden behind an extra click
  • the start menu is different. More like an app drawer than previous versions.
  • some long depreciated features (like ungrouping taskbar items) were removed.

Personally none of that bothers me, but everyone's usage is different.

Millions of leftists who somehow secretly make up the majority of the US population yet never vote like it, would suddenly appear at the polls and usher in a socialist utopia. Climate change would immediately stop. Everyone would drop windows and install Arch. Unix socks would replace stockings on the mantle this Christmas, the major broadcasting networks would replace all their content with star trek reruns, trains would sprout up like weeds replacing cars and somehow take everyone where they need to go despite how spread out much of the country is, veganism would go mainstream with people meeting each Sunday to discuss more ways to avoid meat while cows, now liberated would stop burping and start dancing in exchange for tips, every copy of mariah carey's christmas music would vanish...

I had a long post typed up about how they need to focus first on branding and messaging, but i take that back, because I remembered this:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_the_economy,_stupid

"It’s the economy, stupid." Carville was a strategist in Bill Clinton's successful 1992 U.S. presidential election against incumbent George H. W. Bush. His phrase was directed at the campaign's workers and intended as one of three messages for them to focus on. The others were "Change vs. more of the same" and "Don't forget health care."

The Harris campaign failed at least two of those three. If they had successfully addressed them all, she'd be president.

10 friends decide to go out together for dinner. After some discussion they narrow it down to pizza or tacos, then vote. 3 choose pizza, 2 choose tacos, and 5 don't vote because they don't want pizza and even though they do like tacos, they don't like the salsa at the taco place. Whose fault is it they are eatting pizza?

I live in a deep red state where my vote effectively does not count. Yesterday morning, I woke to an absurd amount of hip/back pain and could barely stand up. Yet I still drug my ass to the polls and stood in line for my turn to vote.

Whatever happens, I blame the fickle morons who stayed home. The parties, platforms, politics, etc. are what they are, if you can't be bothered to at least vote for the lesser of two evils, then you deserve everything you get.
