Didn't even know this was a thing... not surprising, although I wonder how it works.

Don’t know of a formal process yet, but an informal process may be possible. Contacting the current moderator or instance admin, many instance admins have their matrix accounts listed as well which may help with contacting them.

Idk, the Memmy app for IOS has it…

Screenshot showing my profile on the Memmy app where it shows my how many comments and posts I have made next to the number of votes I have received for each

After the hack last night, effected instances, lemmy.world being one of them, invalidated existing login tokens as a security measure after updating. If it is persisting after deleting the app, you may want to try my personal fix. What I did was

  1. Log into alt account in addition to my primary one
  2. After you have 2 accounts added to the app the option to delete, basically log out of the account, will appear by both accounts (memmy only lets you do this if there is more than one account, it won't let you sign out if it is the only account on the app) then I deleted the primary account from the app.
  3. I exit the app and close the tab
  4. Open the app again, and resign into primary account by hitting the add account option.

It’s okay, the best thing we can do is inform others so that we don’t unknowingly hurt others. Now you know. 💜

In case you didn’t know… https://www.npr.org/sections/codeswitch/2013/12/30/242429836/why-being-gypped-hurts-the-roma-more-than-it-hurts-you

"I encounter a lot of people who tell me that they never knew the word 'gypped' had anything to do with gypsies, or that it's offensive — especially when the word is heard not read," says University of Texas at Austin professor Ian Hancock, who was born in Britain to Romani parents. "My response to them is, That's okay. You didn't know but now you do. So stop using it. It may mean nothing to you, but when we hear it, it still hurts."

See when ai video generation comes to consumer tools, you will be able to actually ask for a video of almost anything… it might just suck and take hundreds of tries till you get something close to what you want… or it might take loading a separate, slightly different model.

If you don't count any system that is predicated on the degree of exploited labor (underpaid/overworked, child labor, and slavery) Then yeah, a functioning economic system hasn't ever been seen in U.S. history... not really compatible as there will always be exploited labor under capitalism.

ESG doesn’t tame corporate profit-seeking, or impose social objectives on companies. It is only a name for risks that corporations will seek to manage in any case to protect the bottom line. Worse, it distracts investors and the public from demanding that governments stop depending on enlightened capitalism and start directly addressing the grave environmental and social problems that have brought us to the brink of global catastrophe.

Perhaps progressives should join the right in their determined attack on ESG. At least then the nakedness of the ESG promise would be apparent to all and we could stop pretending that corporations will ever put social values on a par with—much less ahead of—financial returns. The only way that will happen is if they are forced to—by changing the rules of the game.

Gov. Laura Kelly issued a directive that allows agencies under her control to defy a legal opinion issued earlier this week by Republican state Attorney General Kris Kobach, telling them to follow their lawyers’ narrower view of the law. Kobach has told reporters that if Kelly's administration did not follow his opinion, he might sue her.

The new law is set to take effect Saturday and legally defines a person's sex as male or female based on their “biological reproductive system” at birth, a standard that would apply to “any” law or state regulation. Kansas driver's licenses and birth certificates list a person's sex, and Kobach said they can't contradict what doctors assigned at birth.

He also said the state must undo changes in its records — more than 1,200 in the past four years. Lawyers in Kelly's administration rejected that idea, saying the law is not retroactive.

Kelly, a strong supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, took office in 2019 after defeating Kobach, then the Kansas secretary of state, for her first term. Kobach narrowly won the attorney general's race last year.
