has it always been "name of president administration" in headlines rather than US government? or is this just a recent trend? or is there a difference between the two?

[–] counselwolf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 year ago (5 children)

I like the bring everything with you and leave nothing behind sentiment.

I've heard the recent ones leave a lot of trash.

I just look at posters now and see if lots people rave about it.

What is burning Man? I know it's a festival of some sorts that's done in a desert, but that's about all I know.

What happens there?

I have some free invites to some private servers as well (mainly BakaBT for anime/manga stuff and MyAnonamouse for anything books)

But inviting someone that wouldn't have a good ratio is bad, right?

how's the clean-up with using a pour over coffee?

Given the Chance, How Would You Reboot this Old Manga No.001: Katekyo Hitman Reborn

  1. What big thing would you change? (Setting, Plot, Genre, etc.)
  2. What small thing would you change?
  3. Any characters you would axe/give more spotlight?
  4. Others? (suggestions for questions encouraged).

Katekyo Hitman Reborn by Amano Akira

Description

Tsuna comes home one day, only to be greeted by a little baby mafioso who apparently is his new home tutor. His job is to guide Tsuna into his role as the 10th Boss of the Vongola mafia family. With the help of all his new friends and an array of special items such as the "Dying Will Bullet", he might just be able to do it.

Genres:

Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama, School Life, Shounen, Supernatural

I'll try to make this a series, at least once a week, so comment any suggestions for next week's manga reboot discussion.

NFS Most Wanted Black Edition (PC): Can't Seem to Get any Pink Slips, Am I Just Unlucky?

I've been playing this old game for a bit and I've beaten 4 blacklist members already. I've missed getting the pink slips each time which is 1 out of 3 every time or 1/81 in total.

What's wrong?

Full disclosure, I'm playing dodi-repack of the game.

Which Lemmy App is Stable Like Jerboa but has "Hide Read Post" Feature? (and no not the lemmy built-in setting to hide read posts).

I've tried Infinity and Sync but they're unstable (closes out when posting comments, posts, viewing context, etc.) which rarely happens in Jerboa.

Besides Robux, What Can I Give to My Little Brother that Plays Roblox?

I just think Robux bad value for its price.

Kayden moments are always badass. Purposely using a different style while battling one of the strongest to teach his disciple (Jiwoo).

T1 3 - 2 KT

Telecom Wars is a BANGER!!

That Game 5 was heart wrenching.

3 Baron Steals, 1 Elder Flip

This has got to be one of the best series in Competitive League history.

Is there a way to automate this? I'm always late in posting these because I can't watch the games live. (And ofc I don't want to spoil myself).

LCK Global Highlights

Is There a Website Where I Can Roughly Check Prices of Used Tech Available Locally? (Particularly E-Readers)

To be clear, I would not be buying them online. I would only be looking at the prices and probably look around in Akihabara or the appropriate place on where to buy stuff like these.

Just Finished Vita Nostra

It was weird.

It wasn't what I expected when I was looking for a story about "Magic Schools".

I can't say I fully understand what was happening as I've read it, or the message it was trying to convey. Sometimes I had to double back a paragraph or two just to better my vague understanding of the story.

Nevertheless, I devoured this book in one day; words just kept pouring as I read, giving glimpses of a fleeting story. That is to say, I enjoyed my experience in reading it. I don't know if it's something I'd read again in the future, but at least I know it was a good adventure.

What are your thoughts to this book?

How do you interpret its ending?

Why is Sasha short for Alexandra?

How Does a Country's Debt Affect its Citizens?

Currently my country, Philippines, has tons of debt and it keeps increasing every year.

There'd be stats like, each Filipino has 120k php (around 2.3k usd) of debt. But of course the individual doesn't directly pay for the debt but rather supposedly taken from the taxes we pay.

So how does it actually work?

How Do You Deep Clean a Mattress? What Tools Do I Need?

I am naturally sweaty and only use Fan (no AC) so I sweat through the night and the smell sticks to the mattress (and the pillows).

Is there a way to clean this mattress before I invest in a mattress cover?
