@GaiusGornicusCaesar The intros have been really bad since DS9 starting with Voyager. Loved that they ditched them completely for Picard S3 in favor of the First Contact theme outro that actually kind of choked me up the first time as I wasn’t expecting it.

I’d be onboard with outros as a whole. Discovery, SNW, and Lower Decks all have the most generic placeholder sounding intro music ever.

At least Enterprise’s theme was iconic even if it was just bad in a different way.

@Nadalofsoccer They wasted Jason Isaacs. I was fascinated by his character and if his arc as a Terran secretly manipulating the spore drive project to get back home had lasted seasons, maybe even to the point of redemption and wanting to stay…I would still be watching. They could even have still let Michael be a Mary Sue. Maybe even have her find out at some point.

@Lumidaub Actors are not allowed to do promotional appearances while striking. No panels, no nothing at SDCC.

@StillPaisleyCat TBH with Threads only having an algorithmic feed I have serious doubts they’ll ever be able to truly “Federate” in any meaningful way beyond being able to tick a checkbox for ActivityPub integration. They aren’t going to want me using a Mastodon client to be able to read their chronological feed and not be served ads.

@StillPaisleyCat Federating only happens through user interactions unless you have agreements between instance hosts IIRC. Not there wouldn’t possibly be a huge amount of Threads users following Mastodon accounts which would then push the Mastodon user’s profile/posts into a federated or “global” feed in Threads. Federation in itself isn’t an all you can eat pass to Fediverse data. Defederation would stop the above example of data sharing though.

@Digital_Cam The II - VI OG movie era. Harder lines but upgraded from the series. There was a harshness and realness to the ships, almost armored looking which fits the more conflict oriented tone of those movies.
