I had no idea this was a thing. I've recently gotten into astronomy though, so I'll be sure to remember to observe this next year!

The dude tried to hang himself in duress. I really don't think this is the appropriate line of reasoning.

Wow, something tells me Gary Larson foams at the mouth anytime someone brings up Duchamp's Fountain

Okay, why is nobody else asking why this is an image of a monitor?

Inspired by chemical defenses used in nature by plants such as the sundew.

It just really feels weird to me to describe something as GLUE, but then also say that it doesn't use chemicals. One thing I take into consideration most times I'm using glue, is whether the item I'm gluing will be melted by the glue.

I get what they're trying to say, but glue is a description of a chemical compound in my mind.

Alligator snapping turtles are so cool because their shells look like a mountainous landscape. Scary to think they live in the waters around me though, because the ones I've seen in captivity are absolutely MASSIVE.

Apparently similarly mechanically powered displays involving cams to actuate number segments were pretty popular back in the day. Here's a YouTube video I came across one day a while back about one: https://youtu.be/TANe2d0VTGQ?si=unBJmfzs6A_7PWkM

Absolutely horrendous. I stopped watching her after that. I don't care if it was good intentioned or not, she obviously should have expanded her understanding of the topic before presenting herself as an expert on it, and that makes me wonder how many other topics she covers in this way.
