Microsoft has already forked mono and built it into its own .net run time for Linux and no longer needs the mono project. Presumably it's no longer going to invest in the mono project or try to maintain any kind of parity.

I would also like to know why it has to be this way. Are you planning to dual boot I need that partition available in Windows?

The large .war (Web ARchive) being uploaded monolithicly is the archaic deployment of a web app. Modern tools can be much better.
