I'm about 10 hours in, it's enjoyable, but it sounds like the game is missing the depth and stats of older FF games.

I always loved over leveling in previous FF games, getting the best gear and stats, but I feel like that's missing here, the combat is a bit too involved/intense to find grinding for levels fun.

I still plan to finish it since I'm enjoying the story, but will be more hesitant on getting future FF games if this is the direction they're going.

I finally broke down and got a PS5 to play FF16, put about 5 hours in so far and enjoying it.

Will have to check out some other PS exclusive games in the near future too (if anyone has any recommendations apart from God of War, feel free to suggest!)

That's awesome! Where did you get it from?

Still going on Diablo 4, trying to unlock all map bonuses before the first season starts so my new characters get all the bonuses.

I'm just debating getting a PS5 for FF16 🤔

I've been wanting to get a PS5 for a while, I ended up getting God of War Ragnarok on PS4 as a hold out, but with this and Spider-man 2 coming up soon, I think I'm going to have to get one before the end of the year,

FF16 looks fantastic, I hated the idea of mainline FF games heading away from the turn based RPG gaming, but it looks like it's not been a bad thing.
