Lost in the sauce.

Smartphones in general.

Yeah, this too. My dad's last GPU was AMD and he had to flip flop between versions to fix crashes. I wasn't as lucky as no driver version was able to calm the crashing.

Anything to help them take on Nvidia and stay competitive is a good move. However, I wish they would also announce a recommitment to driver and software stability. I had to move to Nvidia for my workstation rig after having constant stability issues with numerous AMD cards across multiple builds. I can handle a few rough edges or performance that isn't top-of-the-line but I can't put up with constant crashes ad driver timeout errors. It's annoying in games and devastating when I'm working.

I wish their GPU line received even a portion of the polish and care that their CPU line did.

People do tend to hate theft, yeah.

This. If people really want to buy something they will check all available websites for the item(s) they're looking for. I still use CL exclusively and refuse to touch FB Marketplace even with a burner account because it requires a phone number.

I remember going to a job interview when I was younger. My dad dropped me off there on his way to work and then I took the bus home after my interview was done. It took my dad about 13 minutes to drive me to the interview and it took me TWO AND A HALF hours to take transit home. That includes bus travel time as well as time spent waiting for buses. I have also biked that route before and it takes about 25-30 minutes one-way.

The North American approach (because Canada is guilty too) to transit is to just throw a bunch of busses at the problem and act like they've "solved traffic". Meanwhile those buses are noisy, stinky, often unsafe things which spend most of their time stuck in traffic and are almost always late, if they even arrive at all. Most of the bus routes in my city stop at midnight so if you were out at the bar for the night and needed a way to get home then you better have funds for a cab or Uber or you're going to be stranded. (something something car-centric cities encourage drunk driving deaths somethingsomething)

Depending on the distance you need to travel - it's often faster to just walk. That's right, we have created a method of transportation that is actually slower than walking. And all the while our city planners, officials, and politicians pat themselves on the back for their "commitments to public transit".

And don't even get me started on how the war on unhoused people has lead to almost all bus stops being uncovered and with no seating. Raining? Fuck you! Snowing? Fuck you! 35c+ outside? Fuck you! Disabilities? Fuck you! What few covered stops I have seen usually have glass roofs so the sun still cooks you under them.

Maybe more people would use this method of transportation if it literally wasn't intentionally made to be as miserable and useless as possible.

It will be very close. Depends on what the ex BC-United voters will do now.

Maybe this will be the lesson that Albertans need to stop electing crooks. Right?

... right?

Steam needs to offer refunds when a game does this - at the publisher's expense. They should put it right into their ToS for game publishers that want to sell on the platform.

I wish we did things for own reasons instead of just doing whatever the US told us to do.

Neglect - 3D (lemmy.world)

A little something I whipped up to stress test my new workstation PC while in-between bigger projects. Made in Blender and Photoshop! :D

I picked up this old calculator from a thrift store for $25. I cleaned it up and got it working again and decided it would make for a cool thing to model, especially with the VFD tubes! My model is not perfectly 1:1 to the original but I tried to make it match where it counts. This model was a lot of fun to make and I am very happy with how it turned out! Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

A little close up macro scene I put together in Blender! I usually do expansive vistas or interiors so this was a nice change of pace for me.

Remaking one of my very first 3D scenes with my modern skills and knowledge. I think it turned out alright! Thank you for looking :D

Made in Blender and Substance Painter with editing in Photoshop.

Been a while since I made something snowy in Blender! Turned out decently, I think. I usually do pictures with stronger, more direct sunlight so it was cool to do a semi-overcast scene. Made in Blender with light touching up in Photoshop!

A sort of thought-exercise-turned-artproject encouraged by my therapist. Not exactly how I imagined it when I started but that is usually how these go. Made in Blender with editing in Photoshop. Thanks for looking :D

My newest 3D piece I finished up this morning. Made in Blender with some mild editing in Photoshop afterwards. Thanks for lookin! :D

My latest thingy made in Blender with light post processing done in Photoshop!
