This exactly. This is at the heart of so much of the corruption. Someone in public service shouldn't be able to make it a life time appointment and come out 100s of millions in net worth.

Bought and sold by corp interest all along the way. It becomes a lot harder to purchase power when there's a regular rotation of new people every 4-8 years

It made a quick an easy landing point for my transition from Reddit. As I learned more about how the fediverse worked and how instances were set up I realized relatively quickly I wanted to find a new "home base".

One of my favorites that I fell in love with was a particular class on an MMO game called Rift. It was the chloromancer. In practice it was tricky and arguable how effective it is but it was a healer class that provided raid/group heals by doing damage. Your damage attacks would provide the heals.

Just a neat concept I immediately fell in love with.

One of the best uses I've seen for this so far is tattoo design. It can get my general idea for what I want somewhat close enough to then show the actual artist more of what I had in mind much better than my ZERO ARTISTIC talent scribbles could

This is super interesting and I had NO IDEA! Makes me very curious how much more efficient an entire fresh start might be with new tech.

Neat little project and reading a few messages offer some hope. The vast majority of them were super positive.

I'm using lift off and happy with it so far.
