wow that's something I hadnt heard of - but not too surprising considering who's governing Afghanistan these days. sort of curious how they plan to forcibly deport that many. rail presumably?

it's like drinking alcohol - you can go to a bar/pub for the social scene or you can pregame in the parking lot with a bottle of cheap vodka to get fucking wrecked first.

coffee smells amazing. if I make it myself, I can do it cheaply & add whatever I want to it (freshly ground cinnamon is very nice).

if I want pills I can get them. I dont want them.

surely Mexico has $10 billion to pay for damages. they've got massive petroleum revenues - just oil alone was in excess of $5 billion in 2022 alone.

why would the US media need to cover Mexico? Mexico has 872 TV stations - why arent they reporting on the crisis? if the coverage isnt being picked up north of the border it may be that no one's really interested.

i reupped but I know many have not - one guy I know has had it twice and been hospitalized both times.. he never learns.

I think that part of the issue is that the virus is evolving so rapidly that it's not a "vaccine" in the traditional sense, like the polio vaccine where you get it and you're protected forever (or close enough). that's how many people see vaccines - you take it and you're "cured", but not with rapidly evolving viral loads.

it's frustrating but not a lot I can do about it.
