I want to add to this, if you want to stream from seedr, don't use their streaming option. instead, right click on download button, copy link, then paste in VLC.

same, it's a pretty fun game. (unfortunately performance isn't all that great, I only get 60 fps)

[–] ShadowCat@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 6 months ago

yep, especially if you download from trusted sources on the megathread or fmhy.

not worth it, you have to wait for ages to get the book you want. (although at that point, you may as well dedrm the book and keep it. no need to pirate)

just skimmed through that link and it seems like it's for self hosting gitlab ? is there an instance on i2p so I don't have to self host (I don't want to) ?

I'm bored of reading how Linux is better than windows, how matrix is better than discord, how foss is better than proprietary etc etc. I didn't even mind but it's always the same things everyone says... so anyway I want to hide comments that mention those words I already did it for posts but can't find an option for comments specifically (I'm using boost for lemmy, yeah yeah I know but I'm used to it I always used boost when I was on reddit and I feel right at home with it.) any suggestions?

Since Lemmy doesn't hide the number of downvotes, it would be nice if we could see both values (upvote and downvote). is it possible? or atleast planned for future ?

on some comments, the number of votes is different when I view them from this instance vs when I open them in their respective instances.

one more thing I've noticed is that some comments have 0 vote on this instance but in reality have 1 vote mostly from other lemmy instances like lemmy.world and kbin.social

I'm guessing this has something to do with federation ?

what is the best way to learn C ? I know basic python but would like to learn C, I tried searching online but couldn't find a good resource that's good for a beginner like me. any suggestions ?

say there are three instances, A, B and C. if A is not federated with B, users from those two instances can't interact (right ?) but what if both are federated with C ? would both indirectly be able to interact ? if there is a post on instance C and a user from B comments on it, would that comment be visible on all three instances ?
