no prob! seeing that post about purging all the bot accounts was really nice to see.

in my ideal world, lemmy's content aggregation isn't driven by bots, but that means it's up to us meatsacks to contribute at least a little bit, y'know? anyway, happy to make you happy. :)

Google tells me Imgur compresses image files above 1mb, and when I compare the version uploaded on imgur to the original, there's a pretty big difference between the two. Here's a link to one i've uploaded to catbox.moe

I tried looking it up on tineye and didn't get anything back, and I got the image off Apollo, so I don't remember exactly where I got it.

here's the biggest version i could find through tineye :)

i think imgur compresses the img files upon upload or something, cuz there's noticeable degradation in image quality for some of these wallpapers - especially if it has a really smooth and subtle gradient.

tineye is good for searching up other instances of the same image though, at least for some of these more popular images. here's the biggest resolution available from tineye. And here's a link to the artist's tumblr with the original files (that i also found through tineye)

looking at a few of the ones i’ve just uploaded, it does seem that some of the images are being compressed pretty harshly. one of the downsides to being a self-hosted instance with limited funds, i’m guessing?

[edit: nvm - just noticed that it hosts on imgur, so maybe an issue with imgur's compression]

I feel like there's been a fair bit of justification built up over the years that they could justify yellow costumes in an MCU X-Men.

Like, in Netflix's Daredevil, we see the cut-resistant yellow fabric created by Melvin Potter and eventually used in Kingpin and Daredevil's suits.

Then we see Daredevil cameo in She-Hulk, saying that he's picking up a new suit, and we see that a fair portion of it is yellow - though in fairness to your point, I think his yellow costume is pretty ugly and doesn't really fly. I'm excited to see how Deadpool 3 handles the yellow, and I hope that the MCU can find a way to justify the yellow somehow, even if it's a transitional costume or something equipped for a specific type of mission.
