@rikudou

yes, that's what i pointed to at the bottom with the Solution, sadly it's broken atm
i only can mention a magazine that's on another kbin based instance, while for me it also turns into a mention, they see it as a link, vice versa.
if i mention a magazine that's on the kbin instance where i am.. well it also turns into a short mention that doesn't link to anything "class="mention mention--unresolvable""

there let me show
!AskKbin <- kbin [!AskKbin@kbin.social](/c/AskKbin@kbin.social) (would work if i would be on fedia and others)
!Help <- fedia (kbin based) [!Help@fedia.io](/c/Help@fedia.io) (wouldn't work if i'm on fedia)

EDIT: nice, on lemmy it doesn't show a full link :)

@Ferk

it might be the /kbin core, not your site you're on.

if you mention someone at your instance here i also prob would see a "full url" (as long it's not the same instance we are on, yes even if it's kbin based)

linking magazines is even more broken.

if i link a kbin social magazine, its not even gonna show, if i do mention a magazine on another instance here on kbin.social it does shorten and link to it, while the ppl over there just see the "full url" of my mention vice versa :,D

@curiosityLynx

seems like everything that isn't "kbin.social" shows a url instead of the shortened mention.

if you mention a magazine that is on kbin.social, it doesn't even work/show, if you mention a fedia or kglitch magazine at "kbin.social" it shows a short mention on my side but a full url on your side.. it is broken :,D

left kbin, right fedia, another kbin based instance - so if i post a kbin magazine on kbin it doesnt gonna show, while fedia magazines etc do show, but as a full url vice versa :) really chaotic

@Ragnell

when i do reply it does the same with your name, while magazines also have the "@kbin.social tag"

so what i think /kbin does is (as you said same function), user first, magazine second.. that's why i also said "ofc if this is possible somehow.. i don't think what i do is intended for magazines" on the bottom :)

@Ragnell
well but it seems it is the case for the user "lain" that is on another instance :(

it is really weird.. like my example shows, it links to a user and not a magazine.

[–] ReiWasHere@kbin.social 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

/kbin is new, so most magazines are empty af like your statistics already states <3
also some magazines are (kinda useless? i think..) since they also exist on other instances.. but i like local magazines a lot more anyways 😁

but back to the quesion: linux, gamingonlinux, the most "weird" aesthetic magazines and also most creativity magazines about art and storywriting/self-written novels about all kind (i prefer dark mystic storys).

i think a good start would if i/we do begin to post to these magazines soon, atm i'm/we kinda just watch 'em (most of us?).

hello,
i do use

@ magazine @ kbin.social (does work),
while @m/magazine | m/magazine doesn't work.

but if a user with this @ exist in the fediverse, it does try to link to the user instead of the magazine?

here an example: @lain

another way would to be simply [link] but isn't there a easier way?

is there a post/site where things like this are clarified? didn't found one yet.

ofc if this is possible somehow.. i don't think what i do is intended for magazines

SOLUTION: https://kbin.social/m/Help/t/211339/how-do-i-tag-link-to-a-magazine-properly#entry-comment-884860 / https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/199 kinda broken atm)

well i don't completely know what u mean.
if i opened images in a new tab it was a error 404, the image could not be found (browser dev tools also said so), so idk if it had something to do with the cache (but cache was also one of my 1st thoughts)~

but i also could be wrong :D

u sure u don't did a oopsie?
(href="“https://mstdn.ca/@GeekFTW”") 2x -> " <- ?
or did /kbin did you dirty? 😭

edit: ok.. i'm sorry! it's /kbin 😌
edit2: it now works <3

mobile browser kinda cache some sites better as on the desktop, try to clear cache and hard reload if u wanna see those changes asap.

same for me, seems the migration is not complete or a server is down..
OR some images have no longer found their way home~

this is how it should be dealt with!
thank you 🧡
