I don't know why there aren't any small pickups. I used to have a proton jumbuck, little two seater pickup. You could get a ton of wood in the back and it was the same size as a car so you could park it easily. Really useful little thing, but you don't seem to get them anymore.

TBH I like an elfbar sometimes. But I know how unsustainable they are, buying one feels worse than buying cocaine or meat or insert whatever fun and ethically challenging item.

I've never managed to replicate the disposable taste with a reusable vape, and I've had experience with reusables. Anyone know if it's doable?

Very small scale landlords are often working people, and lots of working people own shares. That said, the bigger landowners and stock holders are much less likely to be working people. Those fuckers contribute nothing of value to society.

Britain needs to sort out its current behaviour towards immigrant communities - remember the windrush thing? The shit with the Nepalese British army soldiers? All the other bullshit? Sort out the current problems before looking at historical moral obligations.

Although TBH I kinda feel like no nation, group, race, community, whatever - should feel obliged to make amends for shit their ancestors did long before they were born. One example of this is the Germans - too often they're kinda held responsible for the Holocaust and Hitler, even if it's just joking. When most of em weren't even born when those atrocities happened. It's not fair to blame em.

So yeah, I don't think Britain should be held responsible for shit that happened before living memory. However shit we did within living memory, that's different, maybe we gotta debt to pay there.

Hmm I've been enjoying deathloop. Tbh though I've not done any gaming for maybe twenty years so it doesn't seem very generic to me. I like the colours and the feel of it.

Our first TV remote was on a cable! This would have been in the early 80s I think.

Yeah I dunno. Fascism is kinda a cultural problem, it won't go away just cos the leaders go away. The leaders are the ones with the money, they can find a front. Someone obedient and Hollywood famous would be ideal for them. Trump has shown them that it's doable. It's not just a problem in America, the right is everywhere. I feel like the right is less vulnerable to sectarianism than the left and not just cos they're dumber

I'm gonna try to work though your comment in the order you wrote it. I agree with the first bit. About China and Russia taking the piss.. Though I'm not sure about China, they might play the long game. I think Taiwan would be tricky in lots of ways. I think China won't move on Taiwan until the rest of the world is looking elsewhere. I don't think Russia will try to nuke Europe or Ukraine in the next few years. But I could be wrong, Russia isn't something I'd want to bet on either way. They're certainly snidey and aggressive. Yeah, Israel and Iran is a fuckin dangerous hotspot. Don't like that at all. North Korea, I dunno I would have said a year ago that they all gob and no knob, but I don't like how they getting snuggly with Russia. NK soldiers are going to Ukraine if they not already there. Hopefully India and Pakistan can chill the fuck out about Kashmir. But I don't know how close to boiling point they are. Yeah, I'm not American but the impression I get from social media and mates there is that you're about right, a whole proportion of the population is kinda fucky. And another trump presidency could be extremely harmful. And trump is a symptom of a problem with America, he could croak tomorrow and the danger would remain - because of that third of the USA population you referred to.

Plus there's non-state actors to worry about.

Yeah we already know he thinks nukes are not for deterrence, they're for using. The fucker suggested using one on bad weather. It's a real concern. Thing is, it's trump we gotta worry about right now, but if he doesn't get elected the right wing will find themselves another trump and that one will probably be smarter. Would be hard to be dumber. Scary shit.

Yeah fair point. Boeing has a degraded reputation these days but at the mo we don't know why it broke up. Probably never will. I'm kinda going on Occam's razor here.

Great, more bits of dangerous junk in orbit. The fuckers should have to clear up their mess before it fucks up other satellites.

Hi yeah so this is a follow-up post. I posted a pic of my garden maybe a month ago and said I'd post more pics over summer, so here is its current state. As you can see, the gladioli are coming and going, the calendulas are bullet proof (those fuckers will flower when temp drops to zero). There's a couple of grafted apples in the mix, my marigolds got nailed by slugs (lotta slugs and snails this year). I'm not growing any food aside from the apples which are too small to fruit and the heritage beef tomato someone gave me. The sweet peas are almost over, gutted cos I love how tarty they smell! But I've been saving seed pods. There's a bit more stuff in the mix.

Obviously growing in pots and crates is challenging but as you can see I live in a van and my plants have to be able to move when I have to go. Also there's fuck all soil where I am right now. I'd love a proper garden but I'm doing my best. Anyhoo, the bees and butterflies love it, and so do I.

Hi yeah so I'm not sure if this fits here but I'm posting it anyway. I live in a van so my garden has to be in pots so I can move it when I have to. Also there's fuck all soil where I am right now. I'm mostly about flowers, I'm not growing any food this summer except that tomato plant in the blue crate, someone gave me that and I couldn't not give it a chance. I think it's a heritage beef tomato. There's a couple of apples in the mix, one of em flowered in spring but they were only cuttings& grafts last year so doubt it'll fruit. The rest is meant to be pretty stuff, sweet peas, calendulas (dead headed, hopefully back soon, those fuckers are bulletproof), marigolds (slug attack but couple survivors) gladioli, couple of roses, snap dragons, sunflowers be coming late due to sluggery, cornflowers, the orange crate is supposed to be meadow flowers, we'll see what happens there. Anyway, if no-one tells me not to I'll post another pic in a few weeks cos all being well it'll only get prettier
