This fiasco showed me just how much of my life I, evidently, spend under a rock. Had not heard a thing about this until after it was all said and done, when I walked in on a conversation everyone in my family was having about it. Even my nine-year-old. Lol

Man, this is so sad. Huge loss for American literature.

Odd timing that I picked up a more recent book of his from the library just last week. The Messenger. It's really cool so far.
