Apparently you're not far off.
FaceIt supposedly installs drivers that run 24/7 on your PC, and if you disable the service on startup you can't play until you change the setting and reboot. Maybe you could manually stop and start the service when you want to play? Anyway that's an uninstall from me dawg
Gameplay wise it's close to perfect, but I would greatly prefer it with modern graphics. Aside from the aesthetics which I personally don't like, it makes it harder to identify enemies sometimes. Obviously it's not the most important thing, look how it's doing on steam charts, but if it had even close to battlefield graphics (which is possible for small studios now) it would be GoTY for sure.
