I've gotta catch the little beggar first! Otherwise that'd be a great idea. Maybe if it comes back and Mr P gains its trust enough to catch it. It's disappeared for the evening again.

Lol not a big fan of rabbit as a meat, a bit gamey for my taste. Some of the old blokes around Merri creek in Brunswick East used to catch the rabbits and make a stew that looked and tasted a lot like a cacciatore. Always thought it'd be great with something other than rabbit.
I searched for lost rabbit posts online in my neighbourhood: nothing. I didn't notice any signs up around the neighbourhood either. Mr P is getting attached to it, so I'm trying to find where it came from, but also we can't seem to catch it. It seems to come and go as it pleases; sometimes it's under the man cave couch and then it's gone.. and then it's back! I even joined Facebook for the first time ever in an attempt to access lost and found pets groups, but there wasn't anything relevant and I got suspended after about an hour for violating the terms of use or Facebook "identity and integrity" rules or something..I didn't share enough personal information because I don't like doing that. No, I won't upload a selfie. No, I won't share my contacts with Facebook: it'd take too long to ask everyone's permission lol, which I know nobody does but that'd be the decent thing to do wouldn't it. Anyway, Magic the rabbit (Mr P named it) seems to be making itself -occasionally- at home in the tent, slowly getting closer to him. I didn't bother to tell him how I've been laughing all day at the "magic bag/lettuce" comments.
Oh man ๐ฎ๐คค I would lay waste to that thing right now! I'm a big fan of eating when you feel like it. I definitely feel like eating that burger!
I've got most of the fixings for lunch in the work fridge but not lettuce, so I decided to take some with me this morning.
Omg omg omg a RABBIT was in our side yard this morning! It's obviously someone's pet, so I've had to leave Mr P and Miniest to catch it. When I left for work, something larger than football sized and greyish moved in the undergrowth and scared the bejesus out of me. When I saw what it was I tapped on the window and said, "Miniest! MINIEST! Come out here!" She did and just stared and said, "Oh. My. God!" She came out to look and I threw it some lettuce from out of my bag. She said, "Why do you have random lettuce in your bag?" I told her to go wake her dad and tell him and he flew out there to see it. I can't really see how something that large entered the yard. Mr P just messaged me "it's magic, it disappeared." So that's my morning visit from a magic rabbit!
Edit: it's still there! Hiding under Mr P's man cave couch.
Dear God no. That's hideous! I look my age, I know it, and I don't really mind.
15, shocking effort!

Morning all! Bunny Peeler has been discovered in a kind of nest against the fence, made from a hollow between the fence and some grassy orchid-like flowering plant. It's hard to get to (hidden behind a rose and a geranium) and looks like they've been living in there for a while, munching on violet leaves and such (the hollow is well worn).
