I get my results back today, so excited!
I find it an interesting opportunity to observe the different facets of human nature. I live in an area with lots of young families and I like seeing the hand crafted decorations that the family have made as a craft exercise. Who are the people who make their own, and who obviously spends way too much money on that stuff? Which children take only a small portion of treats, making sure there's plenty left for other children, and who grabs repeated handfuls of treats or even pours the entire treat bowl into their goody bag! Which parents dress up and get out there mingling with others in the pleasant early evening, laughing and handing out treats? Which parents put a bowl out and play possum? Which parents deliberately ignore the blatant greed of their children and fiddle with their phone, or actively encourage their children to take all the treats! It is endlessly fascinating for me to observe and I am totally there for it.
I can't really help as I'm menopausal: hot when it's cold and cold when it's hot. Also spending most of my working life in kitchens has messed up my body thermostat. I find I wear things like long shorts over leggings and short sleeved t-shirts over long sleeved ones and with my trusty light-but-just-warm-enough crappy hoodie, I'm ready for anything! π«‘π©π»βπ³π₯
Those little feet π
Glad you're ok, and the Hoppin' John sounds like a dish that really nourishes the soul.
Edit: tired shit spelling
Sounds yummy π
So the rash is subsiding through my using cortisone cream and calmoseptineπ My test results are in, so I can see my doctor on Thursday πOne of my kids are going to school today π Mr P has an appointment at Peter Mac, so I have to pick her up from school.
So Elder refused to go to school this morning. Yes we are back to this again. Mondayitis. But Miniest refused to go because her brother isn't. I ended up having to leave or I'd be late for work.π₯π¬π«And now I'm I T C H Y. The rash (or whatever the hell it is) had actually gone down a bit overnight and didn't look so livid this morning. Off to work so I can stress lessπ«€
I lay the doona out making sure I can access two of the end corners. I turn the doona cover inside out (if it isn't already) and reach my arms right in until I've got an end corner in each hand from the inside. Then I grab each end corner of the doona with each hand and kind of pull and shake as the doona cover unfolds itself onto the doona, putting itself right side out in the process.
Oh poor little fella, sending hugs to senile pup π€
