I just finished Raising Steam, and thus have completed the Discworld novels, bar the Science of thr Discworld books. What an adventure. I wasn't much of a reader going into it and it took me years to finish them all, but I am so glad I did it and proud I stuck with it all this time.
Wacky. I'm not sure how it solves the housing crisis though. It's not like Namibians don't know how to build their homes, or lack the material.
The material is a carbon-sequestering concrete alternative made from an otherwise useless plant and that's what's neat about it.
I don't think it works the same for Artifacts at all. If it did, getting a +10 Greaves of Nature via Transmuting a Master Thief's Armband or something would be way better than getting it by feeding seeds to the Sandals of Nature.
Edit: I'm wrong. I wonder if it's only the Alchemist's Toolkit or Dried Rose that screw it up.
