The correct phrasing is “I agree with Nick”, thank you.

Is it worth digging up on the iPlayer? What sort of time was it?

Rolls Royce are still in the game. I think it’s just that developing them is not fast or cheap.

I feel like this is a “finally” moment, but I’m fairly keen on the idea of SMRs. But I’m not sure £157M actually feels like a lot of cash, I’m not convinced we’re going to see great things sped along with that kind of investment.

I wish the Megathread well.

TBH my assumption is that they have access now. That story on Friday that Whitehall “may have found an old version of his PIN” is too weird. No IT department keeps PINs on record, “old version” makes no sense unless he’s been setting his PIN to $current_year. I do wonder if GCHQ has done the job and attempts are being made to spread enough FUD to avoid any press about how GCHQ can get into personal phones.

It feels like we’ve been in silly season for weeks, but I have to admit that I didn’t realise parliamentary recess started at the end of the week.

Has anyone here been to Westminster in the summer? Is it too hot to work there in August? I know it’s an old building, so I assume air conditioning is out of the question?

Annihilape eats well, again!

I’m not a big fan of that. End result for the citizens is that you’ve got one bit of local government stinging you in one spot and another bit of local government getting you on top. Given there’s nothing stopping another London council from putting in place another ULEZ-adjacent levy, it’s going to make driving into London confusing as fuck. I’d rather the ULEZ charge was just higher. Better a single centralised cost. Yeah, your colleagues are going to be getting some very angry phone calls.

On top of the ULEZ? That does feel rough, is it actually double-dipping or is it entirely complementary to the ULEZ?

(Matt Southall)[https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2008/aug/16/internet.bbc], apparently. Never heard of him before or since. Google only turns up some bloke who apparently isn’t very good at running football clubs, whether or not he is the same person I do not know.

It was a delight, and I really hope whoever ran it got bored and moved on to having a happy life and didn’t have a massive coronary like I suspect they were brewing for themselves.

I’ve a two year old who isn’t really up to whole films yet, but she really vibed with the 2015 Peanuts movie. It’s a series of vignettes as much as a whole story, so her attention span wasn’t too tested and she could do some colouring or whatever and not miss out.
