I'm sick of posts complaining about Biden's debate performance, or his age, or his response to Gaza. Comments saying he should step aside or "we coulda had Bernie."

Shut the fuck up.

Biden is the nominee. He is the person Americans need to vote for to prevent another Trump presidency. Simple as that. There is no other option. The DNC isn't going to change their nominee in July of an election year. You're an idiot if you genuinely think otherwise.

It's fine to criticize a president. Even one you support. But we are four months from the next election and all posts and comments attacking Biden right now are fuel for Trump. I don't care if you're a Russian troll or a well-meaning progressive. Criticizing Biden right now helps Trump win. Full stop.

Get your heads out of your asses and realize what is at stake.

I'm currently on TenForward.social, which is great. I have no issues with the users or admin. They're all good people. But I'm more of a casual Trek fan and posting about anything non-Trek-related doesn't seem to be what the other members want to engage with. I like to post about sci fi or horror movies I'm watching, games I'm playing, old TV shows from the '90s and '00s, and other geeky things I'm into; but it's like I'm talking to myself when I do.

I know there's also the global feed, but that's like spitting into the ocean.

I've tried to find more of a general media or geek-culture focused instance but have come up dry. Does anyone know of something along those lines?

If you're unfamiliar with Oxventure, they're a TTRPG group that spun off from the Outside Xbox channel. They mostly play D&D but occasionally do a one-off or shorter campaign of things like Blades in the Dark or Lasers and Feelings. They make my favourite actual play videos besides Dimension 20's first season of The Unsleeping City.
