Hey, we have to draw the line somewhere. Let's stop at a gigaton.

I think if people had even more guns this could have been avoided. What if there was a six year old with a 22 there to respond to the gunshots with some of his own? maybe less people would be dead.

Guns make everyone way safer. We need to start providing them in utero.

I think if he dropped N bombs even more people would vote for him. Too many racists.

I don't really get all the negative press the guy is getting from the left spun media. His supporters aren't disappearing.... instead they're coming out of the woodwork and showing their true colors that they've sworn all along isn't how they are. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more voters this year than any year before showing up for the biggest asshole to be elected president in my lifetime. Also the only one term president in my lifetime from voters because he is hated that much by the other half.

To so many conservatives racism doesn't exist. They aren't against black people or foreigners... but they are literally coming out front and center to be anti-black, especially since the pandemic era BLM protests. Springfield Ohio is just another perfect example of how racism not only exists, but is celebrated by about half the country. It's just insane that it isn't even shunned.

My favorite line from the debate was when dumpy said "we have millions of people pouring into our country from prisons and jails, from mental institutions and insane asylums and they’re coming and they’re taking jobs that are occupied right now by African Americans and Hispanics" Are you fucking kidding me? Minimum and sub-minimum wage jobs are now "black and hispanic" jobs? That's what you're trying to force american citizens into? very low paying, low qol, minimum healthcare roles with no chance of advancement and no hope for a better future. Make america great again and bring back slavery right?

Sorry for the rant, I just can't believe how monstrous humans can be. There's just no more rational discourse or anything resembling sane critical thinking anymore in the media. It's all just outrage fuel and inane distractions. On the left media sites they keep saying it's doomsday for trump. They said he couldn't beat Hillary too and she had an even bigger point lead ahead of the election https://www.monmouth.edu/polling-institute/reports/monmouthpoll_us_110716/

I feel horrible for the guy and his family. They've already weathered a real tragedy, now they get to weather another one that is completely unnecessary and avoidable.

Accidents happen. Spewing hate doesn't have to.

it’s factored into your total compensation so you’re still the one paying.

I never understand why so many people assume insurance is "free" from the employer or that they pay 0-1000 per week/month. What we see is the tip of the iceberg. Insurance companies are perfectly lucrative and they pay tons and TONS of money to workers that make sure they make as much as possible.

80% of premium revenues must be spent on treatment, the other 20% is what they have to profit off of. If they don't spend 80% of the premiums on treatment they MUST refund excess earnings. See: https://www.healthcare.gov/health-care-law-protections/rate-review/

This means if they took in 100 billion in premiums in a year, they MUST spend 80 billion dollars on treatments. The 20 billion left over is where they can make money. So they will make sure 4/5ths of everything they make goes into treatment so they never give refunds and they maximize potential profits. If they can convince companies to raise premiums 10% next year, costs will rise 10%, profits will rise 10%. It's so obviously designed to raise the cost of premiums and treatments at the expense of all else it's insane.

They also don't spend a dime over 80% of what they make if they can help it. There's where claim rejections come in. They have mathematicians figuring out the ideal numbers and those guys make stupid amounts of money.

Ah, here we go. The omitted devil from the details. Of course that will be left out when they talk about getting the kids off the hook.

It is quite fucked up to be guilty by proxy for murder but that's the law there. I think it should be changed but I have exactly this much influence in alabama's house and senate:

It's desperation before the curtain closes for them forever.

Dumpy is old enough that it's almost time.

Hoagie aint too far off either given that he's in his 70s and very tall, which tends to give you health issues as you get older.

It really is desperation. There's a reason why this wasn't going on in 2016-2020 for the most part. Only after losing the election did truth social come out (2022.) The money grab bible also came in 2021, after he lost.

Headlines are always abysmal at impartially presenting facts.

This happened in 2015. The now ~25 year old kid's sentence has been reduced to "just" 30 years. https://aldailynews.com/advocates-back-effort-to-amend-alabamas-proximate-cause-murder-law-prosecutors-push-back/

The kids were robbing houses, a neighbor called the cops, the kids bolted when the cops showed up. The cops shot them in the back despite there being no threat to anyone's life... except those the cops shot at.

How the murder charge isn't just a case against the cop shooting unarmed teenagers who were committing a crime without any risk to life and limb is astounding.

Kid and his buddies were definitely on the hook for the burglary, sure... but that's certainly not decades of prison. It's been ten years now, the kid should have been out of prison at least 9 years ago. Burglary just shouldn't be a long term sentence for 15 year old children.

The guy rolled up his window when the cops were talking to him. Any normal person would have spent the night in jail if they did the same, and then they would be paying to get their car out of impound, and then maybe their license would have been suspended too.

I'm not saying what they did is right, i'm saying cops in this country are assholes. That's what we expect them to be. That's what the policies ask them to be. That's what their bosses want. It's what the elected officials who set the laws and guidelines they must follow want. It's what most very old white people want.

We need real change, we just won't see it in our lifetime. We'd sooner see another dictator trying to conquer the world and committing genocidal acts than do anything to address the police problem here. Nowadays cops are just legalized bullies, just the way the ownership wants.
