This has the same energy as people who think every queer person is either a butch lesbian or an effeminate gay guy. You can't know unless they tell/show you, so if you don't ask, the only people you'll see are 'obvious' already.

It's just confirmation bias.

Almost like ruffling feathers is the point when you truly believe most people are being murderers. You don't change society by being polite.

I mean, you can do both. They're not mutually exclusive.

Is "meatie" or "carnist" really a slur though? Those seem benign at worst and mildly accurate at best. Who is throwing a fit over that?

"No no, you have to protect the feelings of "meat eaters" and "carnivores" by using the full word." ??? Like.. why is this the hill people die on?

I agree that feeding a cat a vegan or vegetarian diet is still animal abuse, though. They're not omnivores like us. They're obligate carnivores, and pretending they're not is abusive.

Even though this is a perfect retort, the 42,000,000 impressions v 1,400 really is the dystopian part. No one who uses the billionaire's site saw it or will see it.

A robot would have been less awkward. You don't need to subject yourself to it.

Okay - good.

Not a single follow-up or explanation why he's asking, either. He's really building a rapport and drumming up enthusiasm with those interactions.

I worked there for 6 years while I was still struggling with accepting my own queerness. I thought that by working a "Christian job" while going to a "Christian school" would help me "overcome" my queerness.

It was a desperate attempt to be accepted by the community I grew up in.

Yep. It's another of their "depressing comic week" where there is no punchline, the comics are just incredibly depressing. There's no hidden meaning, which makes them even more impactful.

"Always"? None.

Any time I have found a brand like this, they start enshitifying right after I decide to be loyal to them. If you stop shopping around, they have less incentive to make a good product to create loyal customers.

The problem is capitalism, not the individual companies. Enshitification comes for them all eventually.
