TBH it was pretty barebones, but I did enjoy seeing some of my worlds in stereoscopic 3D. It also scares me for the future of VR (minecraft is a REALLY popular game. If it is dropping VR does that mean adoption isn't going that well?).

Also, this is specifically regarding Bedrock minecraft. Java has never officially supported it, but there are mods that add the functionality.

Minecraft will officially stop supporting all virtual reality headsets after March 2025, according to an update posted to the Bedrock changelog. The update means Minecraft will no longer support devices like the Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality headsets, or the Meta Quest (through Quest Link), as reported earlier by UploadVR.

Last month, Minecraft developer Mojang also announced that the game would end support for PlayStation VR headsets next March. When Minecraft’s spring update rolls around, Mojang says you can “keep building in your worlds, and your Marketplace purchases (including Minecoins) will continue to be available on a non-VR/MR graphics device such as a computer monitor.”

As pointed out by UploadVR, you’ll still be able to play Minecraft in VR on PC by using the Java version of the game — either by downloading a VR mod like Vivecraft or using a standalone VR port such as QuestCraft.

Minecraft initially launched on Samsung’s Gear VR headsets in 2016 before adding support for the Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR. Before ending support for VR, Mojang also shut down Minecraft Earth, its augmented-reality mobile app, in 2020.

I haven't played it on steam deck, but it might be a little hard. It requires a little precision aiming, so you could maybe pull it off with the trackpad, but I struggle with mouse as it is. If they added some console-like auto aim it would be a phenomenal controller game.

I was completely unaware this was coming out. I'm curious to see what NMRIH die hards think of it before I buy/download it.

Oooh, this is a great idea! I'm bald AF now so might be a great way to capitalize on that

Every year I struggle to think of a good halloween costume. What are y'all going as this year so I can steal your good ideas?

takedown pins on a chain

That's a thing?! That's so smart!!! I gotta look into an aftermarket version of that. Like, I don't expect to lose the takedown pin nor do I think I'll ever really find myself taking it out somewhere I would drop it, but can't hurt to make extra sure I can't drop it.

This was a real ad apparently. Snopes Article

Here's a video of it in action

She tried to prop herself up on my partner, but I guess it wasn't comfy enough. Now she's at the end of the bed

Saw this and felt it was fitting for the sub. Luna Bear is looking like me when I have eaten 3/4 of a brand new pack of muffins and I think I should just finish them off at that point

I would definitely get some ideas from the Internet, but verify them with a vet afterwards. If you feel like your current vets advice isn't working don't be afraid to get a second opinion from a different vet (it's what I would do with a human doctor as well).

Regardless of truck size, I don't think tractor trailers are going anywhere. Even if we made trucks smaller those would still be out there

Smaller trucks would still get in accidents though, and I imagine they would be less deadly

I'd say I missed out on this really cool map making period in gaming history (Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake, Half-life, counter-strike, etc.), but it kinda lived on a little when I was a teenager (countless, painful hours making halo 3 and halo: reach maps using a controller...fun times though). Kids nowadays have it the best though: When I was little we DREAMED of a lego video game and minecraft nails that (lego island and lego island 2 were awesome, but it wasn't infinite building awesome).

I was gonna chalk it up to strength of schedule (by that I mean give the team that is probably gonna get walloped a ranking for a week or 2), but Boston College plays Mizzou (currently ranked 9th) in 2 weeks. Georgia Tech is playing Louisville (currently ranked 22nd) in 2 weeks. I guess it's other factors, who knows how the voters in the AP Poll decide...

Regardless, if Boston College beats Mizzou, and Georgia Tech beats Louisville they both can be ranked by the end of week 2.

Anybody got any beersheets suggestions for drafting this year?

I seeFootball Absurdity has a sheet up, but according to their r*ddit post Beer4theBeerGod (the original Beersheets maker) got his doctorate and is off doing doctorate things instead of beersheets (more power to him tbh).
